It’s Time For Young People To Take Sweat Equity Literally

With all of the on-campus protest problems we are seeing across the country, there is one college student who has a different message that she wants to get out.

Her name is Caroline Kurt, and she is a student at Hillsdale College, as well as a part-time writer for The Federalist and a Nanny! Her message?

It's time for young people to put the phones down, and go to work!

"I really think it's just super valuable for young people like myself to have an experience of doing manual work" Kurt said, "Like, work with your hands, whether that's digging ditches or taking care of kids, or cleaning a house. Whatever it is, I think it's just really formative for us, morally."

She says that she learned from her parents that hard work is actually a good thing.

"My mom and dad are just both super smart and really dedicated to their jobs professionally" Kurt told KTRH, "But they also put the same amount of love and dedication into the work it took to raise my brothers and I, and to take care of our house. So, I just grew up in a family culture where both kinds of work were equally valuable and good."

Now, she's hoping to share that message with other young people, and living it by example.

"You can really learn a lot about putting love in action, and it's wonderful and it's rewarding, and helps you become a well-rounded adult" noted Kurt.

It's time for Gen Z to get busy!
