Ric is chairman of the board of the United Way of the National Capital Area, and also serves on the board of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, D.C., and its Foundation. He is a former board member of Junior Achievement of the National Capital Area and served for three years on the Grants Committee of the Foundation for Financial Planning, where he remains a major donor. Ric and Jean Edelman founded the Edelman Nursing Career Development Center at INOVA Hospital Foundation and the Edelman Planetarium at Rowan University.
