NYPD arrests Columbia University protestors as they occupy campus building

The law is finally stepping into the situation at Columbia University, after over a week of anti-Israel protests. NYPD on Tuesday evening announcing they have entered the campus with riot gear to clear Hamilton Hall, which was invaded by the protestors on Monday night.

Officers broke through a protest line outside the only open gate to campus, arresting protestors who did not clear the way. The protestors were removed from the campus building within minutes.

No word on how many arrests were made, but an NYPD bus was full of detained individuals was seen leaving the area.

Columbia University announced today that students participating in the insurrection on campus will be expelled, after threats of suspensions went ignored on Monday.

Other arrests were made on other campuses today, including at the University of South Florida, and the University of Utah.
